Policies & Procedures

  • Creation of security policies within the IT-BCO department.
  • Analysis of the impact of overall Bell security policies, procedures, and best practices on the IT-BCO department.
  • Collect information on security holes and risks inside the project and operational processes and aid in determining their effect and documenting methods and procedures to remediate them.
  • Determine the “lessons learned” from any security vulnerabilities and ensure that policies and procedures are recorded and applied to prevent future problems.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of an SSDLC (Secure Software Development LifeCycle) for the Bell IT-BCO department.
  • Maintain knowledge library and documentation of security policies and procedures.
  • Report on the progress made with the implementation of new processes and procedures.

Governance

  • Ensure compliance with security policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Assist in the coordination of the IT components of both internal and external audits to verify that security programs comply with applicable laws, regulations, and policies.
  • Develop an evaluation method to assess the security program strengths and identify areas for improvement.
  • Audit and report on security policy and procedure adherence, as well as analyze trends to assist continuous improvement projects.

Training

  • Create online and in-person training materials to increase IT-BCO staff and contractor comprehension of security rules and procedures.
  • Conduct training sessions for IT-BCO workers and contractors to ensure they understand how security standards influence their programs and projects.

Other

  • Assist in the development of business cases to support policy execution and the acquisition of labor or tools to strengthen the security posture of the IT-BCO department.
  • Assist with the onboarding of security testing tools.

Qualifications:

Must have:

  • 1-2 years of Cyber Security experience
  • Familiarity with security best practices and risk management methodologies.

Nice to Have:

  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) is an asset. ITIL v3 and other IT and security certifications are also an asset.
  • Experienced in: instituting cyber security and risk metrics for reporting; and establishing security processes to reduce business risk.
  • Ability to assess how a corporate team’s processes, procedures, and best practices will effect working teams.
  • Working with sensitive and secret information necessitates a high level of integrity.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and foster strong working relationships with all levels of staff within the organization as well as external contacts.
  • Taking the initiative and working proactively with minimal supervision.
  • Amenable to working on a Night Shift Schedule
